Happy Thanksgiving, friends! Rob here.
I’m going to keep this short because we’re all very busy eating way too much food and falling asleep on couches at our parents’ house (at least that’s what I’m doing, if you’re not then you’re missing out), but I just wanted to say hi and let you know how the end of the run went. The Revivalists had one last show in New Haven, which was obviously fun, and then we had to wake up at 5:00 in the morning the next day, which was obviously not fun. But we limped our way into the city and actually managed to be early for once in our lives, which was good because if we’re only going to be on time for one thing out of every twenty or so, then Monday morning’s session/interview at Sirius XM Radio was the thing for that to be.
It was kind of surreal recording live in a studio 36 floors above the street while people like Jim Norton (comedian), Rico Rodriguez (Manny on ABC’s “Modern Family”) and Flo Rida (rap musician with large entourage) were walking around doing famous people stuff. It was fun though. Worth getting out of bed and an excellent way to end a tour. We’ll be off for a while, and we’ll start things back up early December in my beloved home city of Tulsa.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go eat like a billion foods.
